A Guide To Royal Ascot - What To Wear

With Royal Ascot just around the corner, if you haven’t planned your look yet now is the time. 
Explore the Royal Ascot dress codes and some outfit ideas to ensure you get it right.

WHAT TO WEAR


The Royal Enclosure 


Ladies are kindly reminded that formal daywear is a requirement in the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot, defined as follows: 


Dresses and skirts should fall just above the knee or longer (lace and chiffon fabrics are permitted). 


Shoulder straps must have a minimum width of 1 inch / 2.5cm. 


Jackets and pashminas may be worn. Tops and dresses beneath must still comply. 


Trouser suits are welcome and should be of matching material and colour. 


Jumpsuits should fall below the knee and comply with the shoulder strap requirements. 


Hats must be worn. However, a headpiece or hatinator with a minimum base diameter of 4 inches / 10cm is acceptable. 

WHAT TO WEAR


The Princess Anne Enclosure 


Ladies are required to dress for a formal daytime occasion at Royal Ascot, defined as follows: 


A dress or top and skirt, with shoulder or halter neck straps (lace and chiffon fabrics are permitted, no minimum length). 


Trouser suits are welcome and should be of matching material and colour. 


Jumpsuits should fall below the knee and comply with the above strap requirements. 
A hat, headpiece or fascinator. 

WHAT TO WEAR


The Village Enclosure 


Ladies are required to dress for a formal daytime occasion at Royal Ascot, defined as follows:

Whilst there is no official Dress Code for the Windsor Enclosure Royal Ascot, ladies are encouraged to dress in smart daywear. It is recommended that ladies wear smart attire with a hat or fascinator.
